Corporate Development, Applied Research and International (CDARI) is SAIT's face to industry. Our non-credit courses are aligned to industry and designed to meet the needs of employers today and in the future.
The division centralizes and supports industry clients to develop customized non-credit corporate training for their employees and take their innovative product and process ideas to market locally, nationally and internationally. Within CDARI sits a number of support functions including Business Operations, Continuing Education, International, Corporate Training, Applied Research, and Business Intelligence.
The Opportunity
CEPS is building a pool of Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and Instructors for the delivery of an Avionics Manufacturing course. Delivery date of these courses is to be determined, but curriculum development may begin as soon as January 2025. If you are a positive and highly motivated Aircraft Maintenance Engineering with a Transport Canada AME, E license we are looking for you.
The Role
Develop course outlines, profiles and curriculum.
Instruct high level technology courses to mature learners both online and face to face.
Develop content to support online learning if theory courses.
Participate in curriculum and program reviews
Prepare additional study and lab materials for learners
Evaluate student progress and achievement
Provide ongoing support, guidance and advice to learners
Maintain close contact with relevant industry sectors
Continuously develop professionally: by enhancing both technical knowledge and instructional skills.
Work collaboratively to create an engaging and positive work and learning environment.
Communication skills; including written, spoken and presentation skills.
An innovative mindset and the desire to make long term lasting improvements.
Ability to take a firm stand on important issues yet is empathetic to the needs of learners and the work team.
Previous teaching experience is an asset, but not required.
Intermediate computer skills with a working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet applications, industry related software and the ability to use a variety of multimedia elements to create presentations.
Demonstrated excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to function as a team member.
A customer service focus and strong relationship building skills.
