Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Intermediate Developer to join our Identity and Access Management (IAM) team. This opportunity would be a perfect fit if you have experience in Customer Identity and Access Management platforms, enjoy problem solving, collaboration, and attention to detail, and have a can-do attitude. You will stand out if you have experience in a few of the following: ForgeRock/Ping Identity Platform or other IAM solutions, Azure DevOps, DevOps - Ansible, Docker, Linux, LDAP Directory Server, Java, SAML, Splunk, Groovy, RESTful webservices, JVM and performance tuning, and knowledge of load balancing.

Responsibilities

• Intermediate developer for WestJet's Customer Identity and Access Management team

• Participate in CIAM projects, implementing changes from development through production.

• Be an active team member and adhere to best practices, methodologies, standards, and behaviors.

• Contribute to the development of new tools and processes and related infrastructure to continuously improve the operational excellence of the profile infrastructure (incl. monitoring, alerting, dashboards and metrics-based reports).

• Help to maintain environment documentation including diagrams, run books, configuration standards and processes and procedures.

• Systems administration of profile service infrastructure, helping to diagnose and resolve technical issues affecting service functionality and performance, including after hours on-call support on a rotating schedule.

• Assist with security vulnerability remediation, operating system and application patching, security compliance and audit requirements remediation.

Technical Skills

• Some experience with CIAM platforms is a must, as is a significant interest in learning more. ForgeRock/Ping experience is an asset.

• Knowledge of systems integration (including SOAP and REST APIs); operating systems (including Linux); Cloud services; and Web applications (including virtualization and containerization).

• Intermediate Java development skills are required.

• Knowledge of DevOps practices, including configuration management and deployment automation would be beneficial.

Qualifications

• Some experience in a similar role, supporting mission critical infrastructure in large scale environments.

• College diploma or university degree in the field of Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Systems (or 5+ years of equivalent IT operations experience).

• Excellent problem-solving skills and advanced interpersonal and communication skills.

• Experience collaborating with others to review specifications and using these specifications to design, code, test and document programs or scripts of medium complexity, using the right standards and tools.

• Proficient in working on integrations as part of a wider team.
