WHAT YOU WILL DO

Reporting to the General Manager, IT Services, you will be supporting the service management arm of IT operations. You will cover components of the IT Service Management framework, which is responsible for IT change management, incident management, configurations, problem management, and support of the ITSM platform ensuring the successful transition of services into operations. This role will collaborate and coordinate with other members of the Authority's IT and Operations teams and will play a key part in service improvement programs and tools.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Analyzing current business processes, workflows, and procedures to identify areas for improvement.
  • Understanding and developing processes and procedures to enhance efficiency, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
  • Engage and collaborating with stakeholders on various ITSM initiatives aligned with organizational goals.
  • Participating, preparing, hosting, and summarizing meetings.
  • Research and develop presentations for IT on ITSM process and platform enhancements.
  • Preparing and reviewing/comparing technical documentations to align with processes.
  • Other duties as assigned.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited post-secondary institution with a focus in Computer Science or Information Technology
  • Understanding of Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL), IT Service Management (ITSM) processes, and ITSM platform.
  • Understanding of ServiceNow platform, especially ITSM applications preferred.
  • Basic programming skills to analyze, develop, and manage minor enhancements for the ServiceNow program.
  • Being proactive and taking initiative
  • High level of accuracy and analytical skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Highly organized
  • A passion for building and maintaining good working relationships
  • Ability to work as part of a high functioning team and communicate effectively with others

WHAT ELSE?

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a restricted area identification card (RAIC)
  • To qualify as a summer student, you must be enrolled in and returning to a post-secondary institution following your work term.
  • This role is eligible for our hybrid work model with a combination of in-office and remote work.
