Profile

Reporting to the Manager of Maintenance Engineering, the Maintenance Engineering Analyst is responsible for the accuracy and integrity of the scheduled maintenance program requirements for the De Havilland family of aircraft, including Twin Otter, Water Bomber and Dash 8. The candidate will interact with internal and external stakeholders (operators and suppliers) to ensure optimum levels of safety, reliability and cost.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain the Validity of the aircraft Certificate or Airworthiness and Type Certificate through continuous improvement of the Approved Maintenance Program.
  • Address Regulatory Requirement Changes pertaining to ICA's and Maintenance Programs.
  • Review Aircraft Design / Configuration Changes and ensure accuracy of Maintenance Program requirements.
  • Maintain and develop new scheduled maintenance program requirements by applying MSG-2 and MSG-3 principles.
  • Justify maintenance tasks and intervals using in-service maintenance, cost, and reliability data.
  • Analyze scheduled maintenance records, PIREP/MAREP information and conduct in-depth analyses of in-service data to optimize the scheduled maintenance program.
  • Conduct technical evaluations for Aircraft Operators and recommend improvements to improve aircraft availability and reduce operating costs.
  • Define and implement preventive & corrective actions in response to aircraft in-service findings in accordance with established MSG-3 and Maintenance Review Board (MRB) practices.
  • Respond to customer inquiries pertaining to scheduled maintenance requirements.
  • Prepare and present technical presentations in support of various customer/regulatory facing events.
  • Support internal and external customer requests for deliverables such as analyses, impact and cost estimates.
  • Utilize/validate/enhance existing engineering analyses or conduct new analyses to develop a solution to the operator's queries.
  • Occasional travel may be required for this position.

Qualifications

  • Engineering Degree (Aerospace or Mechanical) or hold and AME License or AME training.
  • 5 Years Minimum Experience in an Aerospace environment (Operator or MR&O).
  • Experience with technical writing is considered an asset.

Skills

  • Strong communication skills in the English language (written and verbal) are required for this position.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, aircraft manuals, service bulletins, STCs and Ads.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in a MS Windows environment.
  • Advanced skills MS Excel and ability to effectively analyze large data sets.
