Overview of role:

The Senior Power Platform Developer delivers and integrates software to form a complete service. This role will collaborate closely with Enterprise Architecture, cybersecurity, DevOps, and Citizen Developers.

Key deliverables / responsibilities include:

• Plan and lead development on related stories, focusing on Power Platform solutions that meet business needs.

• Collaborate with other disciplines to align solutions with organizational standards and governance.

• Operate and monitor Power Platform applications, resolving issues and optimizing performance.

• Develop and enforce citizen developer standards for sustainable, compliant practices.

• Build and support reusable patterns, templates, and components for efficient delivery.

• Improve system robustness and stability by following DevOps principles, including CI/CD pipelines.

• Support the Power Platform Community of Practice, sharing knowledge and best practices.

• Lead workshops and training for citizen developers, offering hands-on guidance.

• Identify and apply appropriate technologies and methodologies for solutions.

• Contribute to the developer community by sharing knowledge and mentoring peers.

• Provide technical leadership and coaching to developers and stakeholders.

• Translate logical designs into detailed physical designs and functional solutions.

• Review and provide feedback on citizen developer work to ensure quality and consistency.

• Document system components, interfaces, and prepare detailed release notes.

• Work with operational partners to ensure supportability and timely fixes for issues.

• Coordinate and support integration testing to ensure seamless system integration.

Experience and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree with 5+ years of Power Platform experience, or equivalent.

• Certifications like Power Platform Developer Associate or similar are highly preferred.

• Deep expertise in Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Dataverse, with demonstrated success delivering scalable, secure, and user-friendly solutions.

• Strong knowledge of ALM processes, governance standards, and implementing enterprise-wide citizen developer frameworks.

• Proven experience in designing reusable components, templates, and design patterns to standardize development practices.

• Skilled in facilitating Communities of Practice, promoting collaboration, and delivering impactful training sessions.

• Comprehensive understanding of information security principles and incorporating security controls into solution designs to mitigate risks.

• Advanced problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues in Power Platform environments.

• Familiar with DevOps methodologies, including automated deployments, version control, and CI/CD pipelines specific to Power Platform applications.

• Experienced in optimizing business processes and managing service components to meet performance and cost-efficiency targets.

• Proficient in integrating Power Platform solutions with other enterprise systems and ensuring seamless interoperability.

• Demonstrated ability to mentor and coach teams, fostering technical growth and adherence to best practices.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with experience working across disciplines to translate business needs into technical solutions.

• Adept at designing, coding, testing, and documenting complex Power Platform solutions to meet varied business requirements.

• Experienced in prioritizing user stories, managing development backlogs, and guiding teams through iterative delivery.

• Proven ability to lead build activities, support integration testing, and ensure successful solution deployments.
