Are you an experienced leader with a passion for aviation and logistics? We're looking for an experienced Airport and Cargo Operations Manager to oversee and drive the success of our airport operations. This role involves managing key relationships with stakeholders, ensuring regulatory compliance, and maintaining high standards of customer service. You'll be responsible for the smooth day-to-day functioning of airport and cargo operations, while also leading a dedicated team toward excellence.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Must be able to perform, but not be limited to, the following duties and responsibilities:

  • Manage relationships with airport staff, contracted cargo and ramp service providers, airport authorities, government agencies, and other stakeholders
  • Uphold both regulatory and internal policies and procedures to the highest standard
  • Oversee all airport and cargo operations, including on-time performance, resource allocation, and customer satisfaction
  • Maintain and promote a customer service-focused environment, resolving issues as they arise
  • Manage third-party contracts for cargo customer service, warehouse, and ramp operations
  • Ensure all staff are fully trained on safety, regulatory requirements, and operational procedures
  • Lead, develop, and motivate the Airport team to meet department goals
  • Oversee budgeting and prepare monthly financial reports
  • Ensure a safe working environment and maintain equipment and facilities at high standards
  • Monitor and improve station performance by tracking KPIs and ensuring adherence to SOPs
  • Provide functional guidance to both internal and external service providers at the airport

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Include, but not limited to, the following minimum skills and qualifications:

  • Diploma, degree, or certificate in Business Administration, Aviation, Logistics, or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in airport, warehouse, or logistics operations with 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and interpersonal skills
  • Proven experience in budgeting, accounting, and managing a unionized workforce
  • Proficient in cargo management software and familiar with Sabre systems
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of airline regulatory, safety, and operational procedures
  • Ability to travel as needed and obtain an Airport Restricted Area Pass as required by Transport Canada
