JOB OVERVIEW

Kelowna Flightcraft Air Charted LTD (KFACL) has a passenger charter airline specializing in the leisure, tourism and workforce transportation sectors, providing service to domestic and international destinations. Reporting to the Vice President, Business Development, the Charter Sales Manager is responsible for growing, maintaining and managing the day-to-day requirements of KF’s air charter services.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Advisory Services

  • Ensure the air charter services are provided in complete compliance with Canadian Aviation Regulations, exacted into Law by the Government of Canada, by way of the Aeronautics Act, and with utmost regard to health and safety, as governed by applicable law and based on relevant jurisdiction.
  • Provide expertise in the selection, design and procurement of aircraft types, models, manufacturers and specific aircraft features.

Management Services

  • Aircraft Onboarding
    1. Provide technical and commercial expertise to ensure aircraft meets customer requirements.
  • Customer engagement and management
    1. Manage all sales’ related functions on behalf of KFACL, including without limitation, Customer relationship management, day-to-day Customer account management, revenue oversight (including, without limitation, invoice validation, pricing, account audits and customer relationship management) and issue resolution.
    2. Negotiate with all passenger air charter Customers on behalf of the KFACL.
    3. Responsible to participate in any and all meetings with all of the KFACL’s air charter customers.
    4. Responsible to develop, negotiate and manage all performance measurement metrics that Company’s air charter Customers may use to measure Airline’s performance as part of its Scope obligations to Customer.
    5. Responsible for assisting and supporting Company’s freight forwarding and or cargo management business segment as required by KFACL.

Procurement Services

  • Develop any number of RFxs and all its constituting documents, to be issued in the open market, in order to invite proposals, responses, bids and or quotes, from various third parties, with the intent to procure various goods and services, on behalf of Company.
  • Develop qualification and assessment criteria of any and all RFxs. The said criteria shall include without limitation technical, commercial and health & safety criteria.
  • Qualify and or disqualify third parties as suppliers, vendors and or Contractors, as part of the procurement process, using the following criteria but not limited to: technical capabilities, commercial appeal and health and safety requirements.
  • Engage and hire third parties to assist in the development, issuance, negotiations, evaluation and award of the various RFxs.
  • Shortlist and make award recommendations, in order to enter into contracts for the procurement of various goods and services.
  • Assist in procuring large gauge aircraft and any and all related assets, equipment, facilities and material infrastructures.

Charter Management & Operations’ Supervisory Services

  • Manage, supervise and direct day-to-day operations for all large gauge air charter services of KFACL, MOB Management, Aircraft Ground Handling Services and Passenger Handling Services.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Degree level education in Business Management with acquired specialization in passenger sales.
  • Must be able to demonstrate sound knowledge of passenger sales and operations gained over minimum 10 years’ experience in a senior sales role.
  • Strong knowledge of Canada’s aviation base and flying opportunities in all regions.
  • Strong understanding of Transport Canada regulations and certifications.

SALARY

The wage band is level 14, $98,000-$123,000. The expertise and technical skill level of the candidate is assessed during the selection process for placement within the band. Note: The salary range maximum signifies full job knowledge.
