JOB OVERVIEW

Under direct supervision of the Warehouse & Logistics Supervisor, the Supply Chain Support role provides day to day flexible support to various warehouse functions including Shipping, Parts Counter / Warehouse & Distribution Support and Receiving. Daily duties will be directed by the Warehouse & Logistics Supervisor and performed in a manner that will ensure a high standard of effectiveness to operations.

The Supply Chain Support role is team-oriented and requires a collaborative attitude, with a focus on serving our internal and external customers. The ideal candidate has moderate computer skills and a willingness to learn company-based systems.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for the day-to-day completion of tasks, this role requires flexibility and foresight in prioritizing work to ensure effective support to KF Aerospace Maintenance and Kelowna Flightcraft Air Charter Ltd Fleet operations. Tasks may consist of any of the following:

SHIPPING

  • Verifying, preparing, and packing aircraft parts and tools in accordance with company and regulatory processes.
  • Creating commercial invoices and export documentation
  • Entering data into approved Carrier and KF Aerospace ERP systems
  • Shipping Dangerous/Hazardous/ Fragile/Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) sensitive material, ensuring adherence to all defined operating procedures
  • Maintaining records of incoming/outgoing shipments
  • Obtaining freight quotes for internal and external customers
  • Assisting with loading, offloading, tracking and verification of inbound shipments
  • Providing support to the BC Feeder Network program, including all duties and tasks required for the successful execution of the program.
  • Applying the proper/safe use of material handling equipment
  • Assisting other departments with packaging or freight needs and concerns.

PARTS COUNTER / WAREHOUSE & DISTRIBUTION SUPPORT

  • Assisting internal customers with parts, materials, and tools requests
  • Maintaining positive, professional, courteous internal and external customer interactions & communication
  • Locating, issuing, and distributing of parts/material and tooling
  • Preparing parts and materials for stocking and locating (including packaging and labeling)
  • Processing ERP "Data Entry" transactions
  • Arranging inventory, First in First Out (FIFO) order on shelf
  • Offloading and verifying incoming raw material shipments from freight companies and carriers
  • Assisting with annual stocktaking of raw material in concert with the Inventory Group
  • Following the proper/safe use of equipment
  • Organizing and monitoring warehouse space to ensure efficiency.
  • Assisting with the management of the used tire program
  • Regular housekeeping of all workspaces

RECEIVING

  • Assisting with receiving parts, materials, and tools, including offload and acceptance of freight.
  • Processing all ERP "Data Entry" transactions
  • Receiving/Distributing all non-aircraft related shop/office supplies, Customer Owned Material and any other product received from various suppliers.
  • Continuous learning and training around airworthiness regulations and customer requirements

MISC TASKS

  • General housekeeping
  • Any other duties as assigned by the Warehouse & Logistics Supervisor

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Strong customer service skills
  • Working knowledge of tooling, parts & material considered an asset.
  • Valid driver's license
  • High school diploma
  • Shipping and / or receiving experience considered an asset.
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and to move and handle freight throughout the company, which entails heavy lifting including, bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, lifting, pushing, and pulling.
  • Moderate computer skills in MS Office programs
  • Proactive problem solving and advanced trouble shooting skills.
  • Detail oriented
  • Strong sense of urgency and accuracy
  • Able to work effectively, both independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to climb step ladders and stairs, as required.
  • A forklift license considered an asset, in-house training will be provided.
  • Controlled Goods and Restricted Area Identification Card (Red Pass) certification required (completed in-house, requires background check)
  • Dangerous Goods certification, Qualified Aircraft Marshall (in-house training)
  • Ground Support Equipment operators' licenses (in-house certification)

SALARY

The hourly rate is $20.76 to $24.55.
