Coulson Aviation is a global aerial firefighting company that operates in Canada, the USA, Australia, and Chile.

Coulson Aviation operates with a fleet of large aerial firefighting aircraft consisting of both fixed-wing and rotary-wing aircraft. With our fleet, we can run rapid aerial fire suppression, including initial attack and extended attack protocols.

Due to our company growth and expanding footprint, we are looking to add to our team and hire an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) Apprentice.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

Due to growth within our organization, we are looking to hire an AME Apprentice to work in our Maintenance department, in Port Alberni, BC, Canada.

This is a full time, entry level position that will pay $23-$27/hour, plus benefits.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform all maintenance duties involved in the care and safe operation of our company fleet of fixed and rotary wing aircraft.
  • These duties will include all aspects of maintenance, from major overhaul of airframes to field shift work.
  • Maintain aircraft to the applicable regulatory standards.
  • Actively participate in the Coulson Group of Companies Safety Management System (SMS). This will include reporting hazards and incidents encountered in daily operations, understanding, complying, and promoting the Company Safety Policy and assisting in corrective actions.
  • Assist on the ramp as required.
  • Work towards obtaining ACA on company aircraft as applicable.
  • Work individually or in a multi crew environment.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Completion of Transport Canada Approved AME course.
    • Valid Driver's License.
    • Valid Canadian passport.
    • Ability to travel internationally.
    • Ability to obtain necessary security clearances and successfully complete the company screening process.
    • Must have strong written and verbal skills.
    • Must be able to read and comprehend technical manuals.
    • Must be motivated and have a strong work ethic.
