ABOUT COULSON AVIATION

Coulson Aviation is a global aerial firefighting company that operates in Canada, the USA, Australia, and Chile. We produce, maintain and operate a fleet of large aerial firefighting aircraft consisting of both fixed-wing and rotary-wing aircraft. With our fleet, we can run rapid aerial fire suppression, including initial attack and extended attack protocols. We are a growing organization that has been in business for 63 years.

Due to our company growth and expanding footprint, we are looking to add a Marketing Manager in Port Alberni, BC.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

The Marketing Manager reports to the President and COO. The Marketing Manager will lead strategic initiatives to elevate our brand on a global scale. This role is central to shaping how we connect with audiences across diverse markets and will require a strong understanding of international marketing trends and cultural nuances. Collaborating with teams from multiple countries, the Marketing Manager will ensure our campaigns resonate with local and global audiences alike. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, cross-cultural environment, bringing creativity, strategic thinking, and operational excellence to the role. This position involves working with colleagues from different time zones, coordinating campaigns across regions, and may include international travel to support events, meet partners, or engage with local teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategic Planning Conduct market research to Identify, develop, and evaluate global marketing strategies, based on knowledge of establishment objectives, and market characteristics. Collaborate with country-specific teams to ensure campaigns reflect local insights while maintaining a consistent global brand message. Conduct market research to identify opportunities in emerging markets. Provide in-dept reporting on market campaign success, social media engagement and other relevant KPI's. Develop and maintain expense reporting and budgets that meet targets and align with company objectives.

Campaign Management: Oversee the planning and execution of integrated marketing campaigns that span multiple countries. Coordinate with local teams and external agencies to deliver campaigns on time and within budget when applicable. Monitor campaign performance globally, providing insights and recommendations for optimization, closely working with cross-functional teams to enhance our brand presence and achieve the desired results.

Brand Management: Ensure consistency and alignment with the company's global brand. Lead initiatives to position the brand as an industry leader in both established and emerging markets. Collaborate with local teams to co-create culturally relevant content. Align marketing initiatives with product management to deliver relevant and visually appealing content, coordinating with teams on product launches, press releases, promotions, and market positioning. Responsible for monitoring and tracking the company's brand on all social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, TikTok, LinkedIn, Google, etc).

Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a diverse, multinational marketing team, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation. Facilitate effective communication across time zones and cultural backgrounds. Support team members traveling globally to meet internal stakeholders, partners or to attend events. Provides oversight of all internal and contracted Videographers and Social Media Content Creators, external Marketing Team members, and SEO Team members. Support your leadership team in administrative and general tasks as assigned.

Company Attire and Promotional Items/Initiatives: Engaging with internal and 3rd party vendors to design, develop, and procure company branded products, swag, memorabilia, and employee attire. Development of high-level company presentations with various medias including photos and video content.

Company Media Equipment and Account Maintenance: Develop and maintain an inventory list of all company owned media equipment. Coordinate the maintenance and management of company media equipment. Maintaining and optimizing all social media accounts on the front and back end. Writing and maintaining procedures to ensure proper storage practices on company media servers all in conjunction with the IT department.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Degree in a related field
  • 3-5 years experience in a sales and/or marketing leadership position
  • 3-5 years experience in videography/photography and editing
  • 5 years experience in a supervisory position
  • 5+ years of prior Digital Marketing Experience
  • Experience using graphics or photo imaging software
  • Proficient on Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines
  • Natural leader who thrives on motivating others to achieve goals
  • Innovative and adaptable to new ideas and concepts
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a solid relationship builder
