Boeing Distribution Inc. Is seeking a Shipping Receiving Specialist reporting to the Regional Operational Manager, working out of the Delta, British Columbia facility.
The Shipping Receiving Specialist Completes initial verification for identification and damage on incoming/outgoing shipments. Processes and confirms receipt/shipping documentation for internal/external customers. Processes hazardous goods in accordance with DOT requirements. Validates Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) for incoming/outgoing chemical shipments. Maintains inventory of shipping supplies.
This is a full-time, day shift position and is Monday through Friday with a 40-hour week.
Position Responsibilities:
Completes initial verification for identification and damage on incoming/outgoing shipments.
Processes and confirms receipt/shipping documentation for internal/external customers.
Processes hazardous goods in accordance with DOT requirements.
Validates Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) for incoming/outgoing chemical shipments.
Monitors shipping/receiving discrepancies and develops solutions to mitigate errors.
Maintains effectiveness when experiencing major changes in work tasks or the work environment; adjusts effectively to work within new work structures, processes, requirements, and/or cultures.
Facilitates the implementation and acceptance of change within the workplace.
Uses appropriate methods to identify opportunities, implements solutions, and measures impact.

Processing of daily outbound deliveries and customer orders including Picking; packaging and shipping tasks
Receiving of materials and restocking inventory levels.
Must be able to lift 35-50lbs consistently throughout the day
Able to stand and walk for long periods including - entirety of shift
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
3+ years of experience in shipping/receiving, inventory control, overseeing resolution of incoming/outgoing shipment discrepancies.
Microsoft office experience (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Experience with operation support or administrative activities.
Experience with various courier companies.
Knowledge of operating procedures for packaging and material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, walking stackers, carts, dollies, box tapers).
Ability to stand for extended period as well as able to physically perform the duties of the position including standing, lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 35 lbs throughout the day.
Must be legally able to work in Canada.
Individual must not pose a risk for safeguarding of controlled goods.
Must be eligible to handle US export-controlled data.
Preferred Qualifications (Education/Experience):
SAP experience is preferred
Prefer experience working in a warehouse setting
Shipping experience utilizing multiple carrier websites
Additional Information:
This requisition is for a locally hired position in Canada. The employer is Boeing Canada. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada. Benefits and pay are determined by Canada and are not on Boeing US-based payroll. This is not an expatriate assignment.
Starting salary will be based on year of post-secondary education completed, qualifications and experience. Salary pays range - $40,000.00 - $70,000.00 CAD
