Position Profile: We are currently recruiting for Experienced & Inexperienced Aircraft Assemblers to join our team in Victoria, BC
Duties & Responsibilities:
Study and interpret engineering blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to understand assembly requirements
Utilize various hand tools, power tools, and machinery to cut, shape, and form sheet metal components according to specifications
Assemble sheet metal parts and components to create sub-assemblies or finished products, adhering to strict quality standards
Conduct thorough inspections of assembled components to ensure accuracy, quality, and adherence to aerospace industry standards
Use precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions and tolerances, making adjustments as necessary
Safely handle and store sheet metal materials, ensuring proper organization and inventory control
Work closely with other members of the manufacturing team, including engineers and machinists, to achieve seamless integration of sheet metal components into larger assemblies
Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines, contributing to a safe and efficient working environment
Education and Professional Qualifications:
Completion of a high school diploma or equivalent is required
Any technical or trades qualifications/certificates, or training would be considered an asset
Ability to complete a criminal background check
Skills & Experience:
2+ years of manufacturing, aerospace, warehousing or construction experience is considered an asset
Proficiency in using a variety of hand tools, power tools, and sheet metal fabrication machinery
Ability to interpret and understand drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications
Strong verbal and written communication skills (English)
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team
Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment and following all safety guidelines
Must have and maintain the ability to legally work in Canada.
