Position Summary

The Stores Person will maintain designated functions within the logistics and/or materials team. Tasks include receiving shipments, processing inter-branch transfers, cycle counting, order picking, kitting, shipping, customs documentation, and other duties or assignments as delegated by chargehand and/or M&L Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely meeting De Havilland Canada company policies, procedures, and customer quality requirements relating to all Stores functions.
  • Adhering to all regulatory and governing guidelines & manuals for handling, processing, and shipping materials
  • Picking & issuing materials to corresponding orders.
  • Verifying orders.
  • Shipping material as per order direction and/or De Havilland Canada's Routing Guide.
  • Shipping interbranch transfers (IBT).
  • Coordinate and/or support logistics requirements.
  • Processing all required documentation (FORM 1, Pro Forma, Customs Documents, RMA, etc.).
  • Safely operate a stand-up reach truck and/or counterbalance forklift.
  • Safely handle manual pallet jack, carts, ladders, stair ladders, and other equipment within the warehouse (MHE).
  • Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Complete any other duties or assignments as delegated by chargehand and/or manager.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma.
  • 2-5 years of experience in international shipping.
  • 2+ years' experience shipping dangerous goods.
  • Forklift/reach truck certification.
  • Experienced in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) & ERP systems.
