KF Aerospace proudly supports the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) by providing state-of-the-art pilot training in Southport, MB. This training program is supported by advanced and cutting-edge software, stationary and full motion simulators, four fleets of aircraft, a dedicated aerodrome, and support facilities. The G120A Grob for Phase I and II training, the King Air C-90B for Phase III Multi-Engine training and the Bell 206 Jet Ranger and the Bell 412 for Phase IV training make up our impressive fleet of aircraft.

JOB OVERVIEW

The Maintenance Planner reports to the Maintenance Manager and is responsible for scheduling and coordinating maintenance work to ensure the timely and efficient completion of all required aircraft maintenance. The Planner also supervises a small team of Technical Records clerks, providing support and career development and actively creating a positive and respectful workplace.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

Maintenance Planning & Control:

  • Forecasts, prepares, and issues all scheduled maintenance, ensuring that aircraft limitations are not exceeded.
  • Generate the maintenance packages including applicable ADs (Airworthiness Directives)
  • Lisase with Flight Operations, Fleet Chief Engineers, and Crew Leads to ensure adequate aircraft down times are allotted to accomplish all coming due items
  • Provide timely updates on repairs and maintenance to stakeholders
  • Has a solid understanding of the technical records role and applies that understanding in the following areas:
    1. Ensures safe storage of all aircraft technical records
    2. Creates, reviews, and monitors records
    3. Assists AMO ACA personnel with Technical Dispatch of aircraft
    4. Attend applicable meetings

Leadership and Supervision:

  • Provide day to day positive and supportive leadership and supervision to the Technical Records staff
    1. Create and maintain work schedules that successfully meet production requirements
    2. Provide regular feedback to their staff and offer an encouraging environment for future career growth
    3. Handle sensitive matters with respect, confidentiality, and support

REQUIREMENTS:

  • minimum of 2 years experience in the aviation industry preferred
  • Strong understanding of CARS (Canadian Aviation Regulations)
  • Proven experience with planning, operations, and scheduling
  • Previous Technical Records experience an asset
  • Consistently demonstrate a higher level of competency in the following areas:
    1. Ability to create solutions to complex problems
    2. Leadership and management skills
    3. Above average level of accuracy
    4. Advanced computer skills
  • Grade 12 diploma; degree from accredited university or college an asset
  • Strong communication skills, written and verbal
  • Valid Driver's license and Canadian passport
  • Ability to travel within Canada on an occasional basis
