We are currently seeking qualified applicants for Aircraft Maintenance Engineers with our Maintenance, Avionics and Structures team to join our growing crew of aviation professionals dedicated to high quality heavy maintenance operations. Our Heavy Check Operations not only further cement our operations in the Winnipeg aviation market, but also help facilitate additional growth and training opportunities for all our Aircraft Maintenance Engineers.

Our Operations:

Heavy Checks: Heavy maintenance checks on company and customer aircraft.

Our operations are a fast-paced, dynamic operation including a variety of scheduled heavy maintenance.

  • Our team currently maintains both DHC-8 and ATR aircrafts

Shifts: Day and afternoon shifts, operating 7 days per week. Overnights are not required for this operation. Our Heavy Check Operations team works primarily indoors.

Our Main Base for our Maintenance Team:

  • Winnipeg, MB

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Required: Transport Canada approved Aircraft Maintenance Course completed or have equivalent experience such as FAA Training;
  • Required: M2, E or S Aircraft Maintenance License with a minimum of 5 years of experience
    • Individuals who have relevant experience and have completed an ICS course will also be considered
  • Experience in heavy maintenance operations would be considered an asset;
  • Experience on the following aircraft is preferred:
    • Dash 8-100/200/300 and/or Dash 8-400
    • ATR-42 or ATR-72
  • The ability to work both independently and in a team environment;
  • Troubleshooting skills;
  • Must possess strong interpersonal, decision-making, organization and communication skills; and
  • Knowledge of Transport Canada Regulations.
  • Must be flexible to work all shifts and adapt to fluctuations in shift times due to operational and/or unforeseen situations.
  • Type Course Certification is considered an asset
    • The standard we strive for is that Aircraft Maintenance Engineers at PAL are Type-Certified on Company Aircraft. For all qualified employees who are not already Type Course Certified, we will arrange training and cover all expenses to get you certified.
