PAL Technical Services is currently hiring a Maintenance Supervisor for our Flight Line team in St. John's, NL.

Our Avionics Supervisor will aim to to provide guidance on the maintenance, modification, and repair aircraft, parts, and/or components to the highest industry standards for all projects, ensuring all certifying and non-certifying AMEs complete tasks to support maintenance repairs and inspections.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the maintenance, repair and overhaul of all aircraft and aircraft components
  • Assign tasks to Certifying and Non-Certifying AMEs and ensure tasks are completed accurately and on time
  • Responsible for the Technical Dispatch of all aircraft from the standpoint of maintenance performance in accordance with the MCM
  • Ensure sufficient tools and equipment are made available to accomplish the maintenance and inspection functions
  • Responsible for the administration of quality and safety practices and procedures including but not limited to:
    1. SMS reports
    2. Safety inspections
    3. Injury reporting
    4. Toolbox inspections
  • Responsible for the supervision of an assigned workforce and monitor employee performance
  • Monitor the serviceability of required tools and equipment and report any deficiencies
  • Maintain the workshop and hangar facilities in a clean and orderly manner
  • Participate in resource discussions and recruitment process as required
  • Other duties as required.


Qualifications:

  • Required: Must hold a valid AME license; E category.
  • Required: Minimum of 5 years experience as an AME
  • Experience in flight line operations would be considered an asset;
    • Experience on the following aircraft is preferred:
    • Dash 8-100/200/300 and/or Dash 8-400
  • Experience in lead and supervisory roles is preferred
  • Strong management skills; delegates tasks, ensures tasks are completed, mentors AMEs
  • Excellent planning, organizing, and time management skills
  • Must meet company security requirements
  • Must be flexible to work all shifts and adapt to fluctuations in shift times due to operational and/or unforeseen situations.
