PAL Technical Services is currently hiring a Maintenance Supervisor for our team in Halifax, NS.


Our Operations:

Serving our special mission aircrafts, our teams assist in the success of our airborne ISR services in Canada and abroad, including but not limited to ice patrols, surveillance of whale migration, seal surveys, Search & Rescue, Air Ambulance operations, and Executive jet charter services.

Shifts: Varies depending on operations.


Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the maintenance, repair and overhaul of all aircraft and aircraft components
  • Responsible for the Technical Dispatch of all aircraft from the standpoint of maintenance performance in accordance with the MCM
  • Ensure sufficient tools and equipment are made available to accomplish the maintenance and inspection functions
  • Responsible for the administration of quality and safety practices and procedures including but not limited to:
    1. SMS reports
    2. Safety inspections
    3. Injury reporting
    4. Toolbox inspections
  • Responsible for the supervision of an assigned workforce and monitoring employee performance
  • Monitor the serviceability of required tools and equipment and report any deficiencies
  • Maintain the workshop and hangar facilities in a clean and orderly manner
  • Participate in resource discussions and recruitment process as required
  • Other duties as required


Qualifications:

  • Required: Transport Canada approved Aircraft Maintenance Course completed or have equivalent experience through a program such as ICS;
    • Preferred: M1/M2, S or E license or equivalent rating.
  • Experience on the following aircraft is preferred:
    • Dash 8-100/200/300 and/or Dash 8-400
    • King Air 200 and/or King Air 300
  • Demonstrate strong organization and communication skills to interact professionally with team members
  • Thorough knowledge of company aircraft and their related systems
  • Ability to plan and organize the work processes and work packages in the shop environment to achieve maximum productivity and efficiency of the production team.
  • Ability to manage people
  • Ability to deal with and work in pressure situations and under timeline constraints both independently and in a team environment
  • Must be flexible to work all shifts and adapt to fluctuations in shift times due to operational and/or unforeseen situations.
