The Landing Gear Market specializes in the design, qualification, manufacture and repair and overhaul of landing gears and flight critical components to a customer base that extends from the OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) to the Operators in both the commercial and military markets.

Summary of position:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Millwright to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in industrial maintenance and be proficient in various CNC Machinery and facilities maintenance. As a Millwright, you will be responsible for, maintaining, and repairing machinery and equipment in a manufacturing environment, ensuring optimal performance and safety.

This is a Day shift position with occasional weekend overtime opportunities
Pay range between $36-$38/hr

Main responsibilities:

Maintaining and repairing or arranging for the repair of shop floor machines. Troubleshooting and root cause analysis of machine breakdowns.
Ensuring operating safety devices function properly on completion of repairs, modifications and installations.
Participating in the PM program on all equipment for continuous improvement of all machines.
General upkeep of the facility.
Prioritizing work schedule to ensure minimal disruption to production.
Health and Safety enhancements to the machines and plant.
5-S Activities which include health & safety awareness/initiatives.
Adherence at all times to all Company policies and procedures.
Keeping detailed and accurate maintenance reports and documentation.
Maintaining a clean and environmentally safe work area.
Performing other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Minimum Grade 12 diploma
Minimum 5 years millwright experience fixing CNC Machines
Proficiency in English for effective communication within the team.
Experience in industrial maintenance with a strong understanding of mechanical systems.
Skills in welding, fabricating, and analyzing mechanical issues are highly desirable.
Familiarity with HVAC systems is a plus.
Knowledge of low voltage electrical systems is beneficial.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Willingness to learn new techniques and technologies related to millwright work.
Availability to work in the Kitchener facility when needed
