WE'RE LOOKING FOR A DCR SUPERVISOR
Location: Fort Erie, ON
The Supervisor, DCR is responsible for supporting continual workflow throughout the Repair & Overhaul department by assigning Technician's work and supporting workflow priority determined by the Manager, DCR, in addition to completing component repair and overhaul when applicable. The Supervisor, DCR adheres to internal and external standards and regulations with regards to the maintenance, repair and overhaul of the components and all associated paperwork.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
People Management
Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders within AHCA to ensure clarity, consistency and continuity when dealing with business complexities
Provide guidance and leadership to the Repair & Overhaul Technicians
Monitor the work of the DCR team through appropriate planning, supervision and regular communication
Promote and enforce AHCA policies and procedures including quality procedures and health & safety rules and, promptly deal with employee's concerns as they arise
Provide and regularly update workload planning and parts forecasting for all areas of DCR shop
Maintain DCR flow through to meet all targeted key performance indicators (KPI)
Mentor Repair and Overhaul technicians for alignment with Airbus values & behaviors
Uphold the Airbus Values and Vision and promote a speak up culture
Support with management of the budget and other financial measures of the department
Complete annual goal setting & performance management for all team members
Continuous Improvement
Foster, support and participate in all continuous Improvement initiatives of AHCA.
Participate and support team reviews of new business or revisions to existing business.
Review parameters of new business or changes to existing business and their overall effect on the current DCR processes, equipment, and capacity.
Support the quoting process for new business.
Health & Safety
Foster Health & Safety in the workplace through his / her own actions - leading as an example.
Responsible for the health, safety and working environment of all employees.
Identification and remediation of safety hazards or unsafe practices
Uphold all Health and Safety policies and procedures and foster a healthy & safe mind set within the workplace
In safety matters, ensure that AHCA is above reproach.
EDUCATION & JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education:
College diploma in Aircraft Maintenance Technology or related field
Experience:
5 years' experience working with hand tools in a mechanical environment
3 years' experience with Airbus products, documentation and/or dynamic components
Knowledge, Skills, Demonstrated Capabilities:
Competent in and familiar with Aircraft Maintenance Management (i.e. TBO, SLL (Service Life Limits)), Schedule Maintenance and Canadian Aviation Regulations
Familiar and experienced in the use of various hand tools and power tools
Able to take independent action and apply practical problem solving (PPS); able to solve day-to-day issues on the fly and work under general supervision
Critical thinking skills; able to troubleshoot and identify issues and take corrective measures at the moment
Computer skills
Strong attention to detail
Excellent organizational skills and ability to handle multiple priorities to meet deadlines
Strong customer focus
Ability to interpret technical manuals and documents
Knowledge of tools used in aircraft repair applications considered an asset
Ability to calculate and derive basic arithmetic formulas
