Position Summary:

The Director, Strategy and Transformation is responsible for leading business improvement projects & digital initiatives across Airbus Helicopters Canada aligned with AHNA. The incumbent will be accountable to shape, define, and accelerate business transformation at AHCA by leading Canadian initiatives along with business case validation. The Director, Strategy and Transformation is responsible for the oversight of Information Management, Facility and Site Security operations.

Primary Position Responsibilities:

Strategy and Transformation:

  • Develop, consolidate, and ensure the execution of AHCA's strategic plan in alignment within AHNA and monitor its implementation in order to meet or exceed annual and long term objectives

  • Manage the Corporate Strategic Planning process and facilitate strategy alignment amongst the Senior Leadership Team

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify key business opportunities and support with proposals of new services and/or products to support business objectives

  • Develop an integrated transformation network within Airbus and liaise within business functions to effectively perform AHCA transformation, manage changes, and develop a long-lasting improvement mind-set

  • Lead key relationships with strategic partners, customers, internal/external stakeholders, etc.

  • AHCA focal point for AHNA strategy and transformation initiatives

  • Develop the transformation agenda and lead change programs that enhance business processes, capabilities, and performance in collaboration with impacted stakeholders

  • Lead the development and refinement of the organization's long-term strategic vision

  • Manage key performance indicators (KPIs) related to business objectives and drive the execution of transformational strategic initiatives ensuring success of objectives

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by promoting change management strategies and ensuring organizational readiness for transformation

  • Ensure effective communication and collaboration across teams to drive efficiency and transparency throughout the transformation process

Digitalization & Information Management:

  • Build an AHCA transformation plan alongside the SLT and ensure alignment with AHNA Transformation by working in collaboration to define the associated change management plan

  • Champion innovation, develop recommendations for process improvements (automation, new technologies, ways of working, increased customer experience and lead implementation of the solutions

  • Oversee the budget and end-to-end execution of digital transformation projects at AHCA in collaboration with AHNA, Airbus Canada, and Airbus Americas and external stakeholders, ensuring they meet objectives on time and budget, with a measurable business impact

  • Manage One-Roof initiatives to ensure an environment of digital innovation and best practice, ensuring the use of technologies for the benefit of AHCA in order to increase efficiency & reduce costs

  • Support the development of training programs to upskill employees on new digital tools, technologies, and processes

Facilities & Site Security:

  • Oversee AHCA facilities, ensuring that buildings & equipment are maintained, functional, and compliant with applicable legislation and AH governance

  • Manage space planning, office layouts, and facilities upgrades or relocations as needed

  • Act a liaison / point of contact for AHCA within AH(NA) for site development plan and revitalization projects to ensure alignment with internal protocols

  • Accountable for Corporate & Site Security which includes the physical and technological security of AHCA property and data

  • Develop and implement security strategies in alignment with AH to protect company assets, staff, and visitors

  • Accountable for the execution and continuous improvement of physical security systems (e.g., surveillance, access control, alarm systems)

  • Oversee the annual budget for facilities and security operations, ensuring cost-effective use of resources while maintaining high standards

Position Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Operations, Business or equivalent

Experience:

  • 10 years of experience in operation & business improvement

  • 3 years experience in a leadership role

  • Strong knowledge of AHCA functions and business requirements preferred

Knowledge, Skills, Demonstrated Capabilities:

  • Ability to develop a culture of high standards, excellent quality and customer responsiveness

  • Strong capabilities to drive projects

  • Demonstrate and apply international business knowledge

  • Proactively address conflicts and problems

  • In depth experience in organizational development, strategic planning and implementation of new policies and procedures

  • Natural leadership skills

  • Proven ability to develop positive working relationships with staff and management

  • Demonstrated ability to multi task in a fast paced environment

  • Ability to work under pressure and deadlines

  • Customers & Business oriented

  • Detail oriented and strong attention to detail

  • Ability to navigate complex environments, manage multiple priorities, and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization

Communication Skills (Spoken, Written, Influencing, Proficiency in Other Languages):

  • Bilingualism (French-English) an asset

Technical Systems Proficiency:

  • Proficiency in Google Applications and MS Office pack

  • Advanced computer skills

  • ERP System experience
