Technician
The position
We are looking for a Structures S Licensed Technician to be responsible for performing a full range of aircraft sheet metal duties including disassemble, modify, repair, and reassemble complex aircraft metal items. Other key responsibilities include:
•Repair, fabrication or modification of airframe structures as assigned in accordance with approved technical instructions.
•As a member of the AAR team, work to achieve quality, cost and time commitments.
•Assist in mentoring Apprentice Technicians.
•Perform initial inspection of aircraft upon receipt into heavy maintenance within scope of Transport Canada S License.
•Perform maintenance release of completed task and address any identified discrepancies.
•Perform inspections, use SRM/drawings to determine serviceability of part/structure.
•Map damage out of limits and send assessment to engineering for validation.
•Actively participate in AAR Windsor’s Safety Management System (SMS) including reporting safety hazards and incidents encountered in daily operations; understands and promotes the company safety policy.
•Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
