ABOUT THE HQ DIVISION

To navigate the challenging skies, Hydro-Québec has a fleet of 4 aircrafts — two Dash 8 Q400s and two Dash 8-300—ensuring seamless travel for employees to key locations in Saguenay, Abitibi, Côte-Nord, and Baie-James. Air Inuit's employees within the HQ division are committed to providing its client (Hydro Québec) with an operation that meets the highest standards in the aviation industry.

ROLE OVERVIEW

The Aircraft Technician - Structure/Composite (S) at the HQ Division is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and overhaul of aircraft structural components and composite materials. This role ensures the structural integrity and safety of the aircraft, adhering to all regulatory and company standards.

KEY RESPONSABILITIES

  • Perform inspections, repairs, and modifications on aircraft structural components, including fuselage, wings, and control surfaces.
  • Work with composite materials, including fiberglass, carbon fiber, and Kevlar, to repair and fabricate aircraft parts.
  • Conduct non-destructive testing (NDT) to identify structural defects and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and engineering drawings to execute repairs and modifications accurately.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance teams to troubleshoot and resolve structural issues.
  • Maintain detailed records of all maintenance and repair work performed, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Perform other related tasks as per the operational needs of the HQ Division.

WHAT WILL MAKE YOU AN IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • College Diploma in aircraft maintenance/fabrication or equivalent.
  • Hold an active, accredited AME, valid S license, and recognized TCCA, with hands-on experience on the Bombardier DHC 8/300 and Q400—a major plus!
  • Excellent dexterity.
  • Has a complete tool selection tailored for the job.
  • Great attitude and a collaborative spirit.
  • Fluent in English and French, both oral and written.
  • Available to work overtime if needed.
  • Must have and keep up to date all necessary authorizations and documents to legally work in Canada.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Evening/night shifts (4:30pm - 3:00am) - Schedule type 3-2-2

REMUNERATION

  • Compensation and benefits are determined according to corporate policy.
