Since 1978 Air Inuit has been providing scheduled, charter, cargo, and emergency air transportation services in Nunavik and beyond, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Collectively owned by the Inuit of Nunavik, through the Makivvik Corporation, the airline operates a fleet of over 35 aircraft ranging from a De Havilland Twin Otter 300 Series to a Boeing 737 200, 300 and 800 and employs over 1000 employees in one of the most challenging flight environments.

ROLE OVERVIEW

If so, Air Inuit has the perfect opportunity for you! We are seeking an enthusiastic, detail-oriented, and efficiency-driven Aircraft Groomer to join our maintenance team. Your role will involve ensuring our aircraft are spotless and ready for service, all while optimizing cleaning processes to enhance productivity.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure the interior of our aircraft is spotless, including seats, carpets, lavatories, and according to the established procedures.
  • Perform deep cleaning and sanitization procedures to maintain a hygienic environment for passengers and crew.
  • Replenish supplies such as blankets, pillows, and in-flight magazines.
  • Conduct pre-flight and post-flight inspections to identify and address any cleanliness or maintenance issues.
  • Work in collaboration with the ground crew and maintenance team to ensure aircraft are ready for departure on time.
  • Uphold our commitment to exceptional customer service by maintaining a welcoming and pristine cabin environment.
  • Take charge of ensuring both the interior and exterior of all Air Inuit’s vehicles are impeccably spotless and gleaming.
  • Ensure the organization of all the maintenance equipment.
  • Maintain the hangar tidy and organized.
  • Assist with aircraft turnarounds
  • Perform miscellaneous tasks in line with the department’s operational needs.

WHAT WILL MAKE YOU AN IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • High School Diploma.
  • Previous experience in cleaning or maintenance roles is an asset.
  • Efficiency driven: Proven ability to streamline processes and enhance productivity, ensuring tasks are completed swiftly and accurately.
  • Timekeeper Extraordinaire: Punctual and highly dependable.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and bending.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Available to travel to Air Inuit’s Northern Bases.
  • Hold and maintain a valid driver’s license.

COMPENSATION

  • Salary and benefits are determined in accordance with the corporate policy.
  • Hourly entry salary - $20.26

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Rotational Work Schedule, 3 weeks on and 3 weeks off.
  • Work Schedule is from 16h54 to 3h00
  • Company provided uniforms.
  • When traveling to a North Base: Accommodations, meals, work uniforms and travel between Montreal and work location are provided.
