Air Inuit has been providing essential scheduled, charter, cargo and emergency air transportation services to Nunavik and beyond, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, for 45 years. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage ramp personnel;
  • Restrict ramp access to authorized personnel only;
  • Ensure the safety of ramp operations at all times;
  • Proceed with the daily inspection of ramp vehicles and equipment;
  • All other duties deemed necessary by the company in order to ensure the effectiveness of the operation.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent;
  • Bilingual (English/Inuktituk) or (French/Inuktituk) or (French/English);
  • Good communication skills;
  • Experienced in driving forklifts;
  • Be able to organize and divide the workload between ramp personnel;
  • Hold a valid driving license;
  • One year of experience in the cargo field and ramp work;
  • Knowledge or capacity to master the cargo programs, weight & balance program, as well as deicing of the planes;
  • Available to work evenings, nights and weekends;
  • If the position is not filled locally, the candidate will be considered as having no specific base.


WORKING CONDITIONS

Rotational position - 2 weeks ON and 2 weeks OFF
If the position is not filled locally, airfare from Montreal and room and board will be included.

COMPENSATION

  • Compensation and benefits are determined in accordance with corporate policy
  • Annual salary starts at $41,625.
  • Northern Allowance $10,784 (if applicable)
