The Landing Gear Market specializes in the design, qualification, manufacture and repair and overhaul of landing gears and flight critical components to a customer base that extends from the OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) to the Operators in both the commercial and military markets.

Located in the City of Laval, this factory (45,000 sq. ft.) is the center of excellence for small and medium-sized landing gear systems and components, as well as actuators for flight controls.

Summary of position:

We are looking for a Quality Assurance Coordinator to join our Quality Assurance team at our Laval plant.

The ideal candidate is a team player who enjoys analysis and will be able to reinforce the quality culture within the organization. The Quality Assurance Coordinator is responsible for managing non-conformances (NCR) and finding ways to reduce the cost of non-quality. The chosen person will know how to make the necessary follow-ups with key players in the organization to ensure the smooth continuation of operations and the application of internal processes.

Main responsibilities:

Reduce non-quality of internal products

o Manage non-conformities according to business needs and follow up on the implementation of internal corrective actions;
o Submit non-conformance reports to the various customer portals;
o Establish and maintain associated KPIs on a weekly basis;
o Analyze non-conformance reports and initiate quality clinics with relevant stakeholders;

Maintain and monitor the application of the quality system

o Conduct certain internal audits (QMS processes, regular spot checks and customer requirements);
o Ensure compliance with customer specifications by reviewing routings, manufacturing sketches and working documents;
o Review and approve internal ISPs.

Qualifications:

- BAC in Engineering or DEC with a manufacturing profile or in a related field
- 5-7 years' experience in quality assurance in a manufacturing environment
- Experience in root cause analysis and problem solving (RCCA, 8D, other), an asset
- Basic knowledge of LEAN (FMEA, process mapping, VSM), an asset
- Relevant experience as a quality auditor, an asset
- Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office tools
- Oral and written bilingualism*.
