The Account Manager is responsible for managing internal and external contracts and serves as the point of contact for clients within the organization. They communicate contractual requirements to internal departments and safeguard the interests of both parties. The primary goal is to take ownership of the programs under their responsibility by ensuring adherence to internal deadlines, timely delivery to clients, and compliance with product quality requirements. The ability to use informal leadership to influence people and gain their support to ensure deadlines are met is essential. The Account Manager also focuses on developing business relationships to ensure additional contract opportunities.
Under the authority of the Methods Supervisor, the incumbent is responsible for:
• Plan, organize, direct, and control customer PMRs (Program Management Reviews);
• Measure overall program performance, present delivery and performance indicators (KPIs);
• Manage communications and marketing with current and potential clients;
• Conduct client surveys;
• Manage various external visibility activities;
• Align client projects with internal departments;
• Plan and forecast in the short/medium/long term with clients;
• Serve as the daily point of contact for our internal and external clients;
• Conduct periodic program reviews with clients and management;
• Perform contract reviews and launches, establish milestones and objectives for various departments, and ensure follow-up;
• Manage the order book with clients and interact with our MRP system, as well as with our teams in operations, quality assurance, procurement, finance, shipping, etc.;
• Draft and execute a recovery plan if required and ensure the deployment of efforts;
• Manage client requirements and complaints while ensuring contract compliance during commercial disputes;
• Provide support to the finance department with accounts receivable;
• Ensure the profitability and sustainability of long-term programs;
• Develop a lasting relationship with our clients.
Colleagues and Clients:
• Clients, management, supervision, finance, methods, planning, quality.
• University degree in business administration or engineering with a minimum of 1-3 years in a similar role OR a college diploma with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role;
• Experience in a manufacturing or aerospace environment will be considered an asset;
• Understanding of technical and operational issues;
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel and PowerPoint);
• Autonomy;
• Strong interpersonal communication skills;
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and pressure;
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail;
• High adaptability and ability to manage information;
• Leadership and sense of priorities;
• Organizational skills;
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems is an asset.
