ABOUT THE HQ DIVISION

To navigate the challenging skies, Hydro-Québec has a fleet of 4 aircrafts — two Dash 8 Q400s and two Dash 8-300 —ensuring seamless travel for employees to key locations in Saguenay, Abitibi, Côte-Nord, and Baie-James. ROLE OVERVIEW

Join Air Inuit's HQ Division as Quality Assurance Manager (QAM) and take the lead in ensuring that our flights are not just journeys, but exceptional experiences for the HQ employees! You will be at the forefront of maintaining the highest safety and quality standards in the aviation industry. In this role, you will oversee our quality assurance programs, training plans, technical records and initiatives, guiding a dedicated team to implement innovative strategies that enhance operational excellence. The QAM ensures compliance with aviation regulations while fostering a culture of continuous improvement across all departments. The QAM has a key role with the HQ operations, maintenance control decisions and in the SGS security program.

THE QAM'S KEY DUTIES

Under the supervision of the Maintenance Director, the QAM will undertake the following tasks:

  • Maintain and update the Quality Assurance Program.
  • Ensure audits are made to cover all functions defined within the Maintenance Policy Manual (MPM) and the Maintenance Control Manual (MCM).
  • Keep up to date the MPM the MCM and incorporate reference documents with pertinent information insuring the efficiency of the AMO's maintenance policies and the maintenance control operation.
  • Manage and evaluate the aircraft maintenance schedules for currency and effectiveness.
  • Monitor the Airworthiness Directives (AD) applicability, inspection, rectification, modification and repair of aircrafts and aircrafts components.
  • Implement and Control the AMO training program for all maintenance personnel and their applicable records and authorizations issued.
  • Control the inspection, rectification and records relating to maintenance certified by the AMO.
  • Oversee the control of the calibrated and new tools and test equipment utilized within the AMO.
  • Supervise the status of the required AMO's Technical Publications.
  • Make sure a system is in place to treat Service information letters and that technical documents are available and up to date.
  • Send and follow the Service Difficulties Report (SDR)
  • Liaise with Transport Canada Civil Aviation Inspectors on behalf of the AMO.
  • Perform other related tasks as per the operational needs of the HQ Division.

INDISPENSABLE REQUIREMENTS FOR THE QAM

  • A valid Aircraft Maintenance Engineer's (AME) license and have held this license for a minimum of 6 years.
  • At least 6 years of current experience, including 6 months within the last 2 years specifically in performing or directly supervising maintenance tasks similar to those done by Hydro-Québec.

WHAT WILL MAKE YOU AN IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • Demonstrated knowledge in planning, implementation and direction for products operated by Hydro Québec.
  • Strong mastery of maintenance policies in line with specifications of aircraft operations and the maintenance manuals necessary for the performance of their duties.
  • Ability to work in a team and independently.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to reorganize priorities swiftly.
  • Obtain and maintain the access card for the YUL airport regulatory area (RAIC)
  • Must have and keep up to date all necessary authorizations and documents to legally work in Canada.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Day shift
  • Possibility of working remotely 1 day per week
