Pw100 Powerplant Engineer/technician

LXA Leasing is a specialized PW100, and APU lessor dedicated to providing exceptional leasing solutions to our clients. As we continue to expand our technical awareness of the PW100 Turboprop engine, we are looking for a talented and experienced Technician to join our Technical Department as a specialist. This role offers an exciting opportunity to grow into a Powerplant Engineering position with comprehensive training provided.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a hands-on, knowledgeable PW100 Technician who is eager to bring their expertise to our team. You will play a pivotal role in enhancing our technical awareness of the PW100 Turboprop engine, collaborating closely with our Powerplant Director based in Ireland. This position is ideal for someone interested in progressing their career into a Powerplant Engineering role.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and expertise to enhance our technical capabilities.
• Collaborate with the Powerplant Director and other technical personnel to ensure best practices.
• Document maintenance activities and provide detailed reports.
• Continuously enhance technical knowledge of PW100 engines through training and hands-on experience.
• Assist in developing processes and procedures related to PW100 engine maintenance.

Qualifications & Skills

• Proven hands-on experience working with PW100 Turboprop engines in an MRO facility.
• Strong troubleshooting, repair, and diagnostic skills. Capability to challenge work scopes and propose alternative solutions.
• Excellent communication and reporting abilities.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Willingness to undergo training to transition into a Powerplant Engineering role.
• Based in the Montreal area.
• Possibility to work hybrid at home and/or in the office.
