We are seeking a
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Avionics "E" License Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (ACA) is responsible for repairing and maintaining aircraft avionics equipment, performing scheduled and unscheduled avionics tasks, troubleshooting aircraft avionics systems, overseeing the work or and assisting apprentices, and ensuring Air North's facilities, including avionics shop, tools and equipment are maintained to industry standards

Duties and Responsibilities:
•Perform maintenance on aircraft instruments, avionics and electrical systems and components:
•Carry out systems testing in accordance with appropriate documentation such as Aircraft Maintenance Manual, Service bulletins, Engineering Orders
•Calibrate or adjust electronic equipment or instruments to specification
•Carry out troubleshooting procedures to isolate faults
•Coordinate work with engineers, technicians, and other aircraft maintenance personnel
•Conduct maintenance, repairs, and modifications to aircraft using approved tools, materials and manuals
•Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks
•Troubleshoot and rectify aircraft system defects
•Ensure the Company's safety standards are adhered to at all times
•Ensure work accomplished is correctly documented and recorded
•Verify parts installed onto the aircraft are properly certified, prior to installation
•Oversee the work of apprentices and providing training/guidance in order for them to become AME's
•Ensure the Company's hanger facilities, tooling and equipment are maintained to industry standards
•Understand and comply with all regulatory requirements and Company policies, manuals, and documentation requirements in accordance with Airworthiness Certification Authority
•Liaise with Stores on parts needed, used, and accounted for
•Complete log book entries and create and complete task cards and non- routine cards (NRC)
•Complete training courses and attend programs as required
Qualifications/Conditions of Employment:
•Valid Transport Canada "E"
•Minimum of 2 years related experience
•TC approved endorsements on aircrafts operated by the Company: B737 Classic, Next Generations aircraft and ATR
•Successful completion of required Company indoctrination, general, and recurrent training
•Required to obtain and maintain a valid Restricted Area Identification Card (RAIC)
•Must be a Canadian citizen, Permanent Resident or show proof of right to work in Canada
Please note that the positions will only be available in Whitehorse. Selected candidates must be willing to relocate. Relocation expenses are not reimbursed.
