AVIONICS SYSTEMS TECHNICIAN
Degree: DCS
Goal of the program: To acquire the necessary knowledge in order to assemble and install avionics systems; to inspect them; to repair and identify problems.
Professional outcome: Avionics technician
Note: A Transport Canada-issued Aircraft Maintenance Engineer licence (AME) (category E – avionics) is required for avionics mechanics, technicians and inspectors who issue maintenance releases and aircraft airworthiness reports.
Workplace: Aircraft manufacturing, maintenance, repair and revision companies; airlines and other aircraft operators.
